چکیده

Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) is a viral disease caused by bovine herpesvirus-1 (BHV-1). It is a virus that mainly displays respiratory and genital tropism. However, for French farms, infection usually remains asymptomatic and this disease is first and foremost a trade issue. Listed in the Animal Health Code of the OIE (World Organisation for Animal Health), it has also given rise to additional guarantees in the European Union. It was in this context that measures for the control of IBR were developed: a mandatory control system starting in 2006 [1] and a voluntary system leading to the qualification of farms, which was initiated in 1982 in some départements and has been managed at the national level by the French Certification Association for Animal Health (ACERSA) since 2001 [2, 3].
